this hotel is an age-old mansion known as the yazdi zargar's (jeweler) house dating back to the Gajar era, some 250 years ago. The landlord was once an Iranian jweler merchant.

Mehr is the first and the only Iranian hotel being awarded an honorary prize by UNESCO, and the second receiving a quality certificate from SGS.

This building is the biggest traditional hotel of YAZD  and includes a court yard, an orangery, a lofty wind catcher, a traditional hall, a beautiful basement now in use, a porch, an impressive roof overlooking the historical quarter and is on the list of the national legacies.

The hotel benefits from 23 rooms with 60 beds.The central court yard is a traditional restaurant serving local and international recipes besides a coffee shop convenient for holding weddings, birthday parties and seminars.
